IB MTS Selection Process 2025
The selection process for IB MTS Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in two stages – Tier-I (Objective Type Exam) and Tier-II (Descriptive Test). Candidates must qualify each stage to be considered for final selection. The detailed scheme of examination is as follows:
Tier-I: Objective Type Examination
- The Tier-I exam will be an online test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The total marks for this stage will be 100, and the duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
- There will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for every wrong answer.
- The paper will have 100 questions carrying 1 mark each, divided into four sections:
- General Awareness – 40 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 20 Marks

Tier-II: Descriptive Test (Qualifying Nature)
- Candidates shortlisted from Tier-I will appear for the Tier-II descriptive exam, conducted in offline mode.
- This paper will test the candidate’s English Language and Comprehension skills, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and paragraph writing (in about 150 words).
- The Tier-II exam will carry 50 marks and will be of 1-hour duration.
- The qualifying marks for Tier-II are 20 marks.
Intelligence Bureau MTS (General) Salary 2025
The selected candidates for the IB MTS Recruitment 2025 will be appointed under the General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) category. They will receive a salary as per Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900) in the pay matrix, along with all admissible Central Government allowances.
