Who Can Apply for the DRDO Internship 2026?
- Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech., M.E./M.Tech., and M.Sc. Physics are eligible to apply for the DRDO internship.
- For the undergraduate engineering category, applicants should be currently enrolled in the 7th or 8th semester of their engineering degree.
- For the postgraduate engineering category, candidates pursuing a full-time 2nd-year M.Tech programme in Optics or Quantum Mechanics can apply.
- Candidates must have obtained more than 70% marks or a CGPA above 7.0 in the semesters of their engineering graduation or post-graduation programme.
- The maximum age limit is below 28 years.

How will candidates be shortlisted for the DRDO Paid Internship 2026?
- Candidates will be shortlisted primarily on the basis of their academic performance across all completed semesters.
- As part of the selection process, DRDO may conduct a telephonic interview or personal interaction, followed by document verification.
- There will be no written examination for selecting candidates for the internship.
- Applicants need to submit a short bio-data of not more than 300 words along with the required documents.
- Candidates can also include information about their awards, achievements, professional memberships, or other relevant accomplishments in the bio-data.
