DSSSB Combined Examination 2026 Vacancy 

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has announced a total of 911 vacancies across various departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi. These vacancies are available for posts such as Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Junior Engineer (Civil), Assistant Engineer (Civil), and Legal Assistant. The vacancies are distributed among different categories including UR, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS as per the government reservation rules. DSSSB Combined Examination 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates planning to apply for DSSSB AE, JE, ASO, and Legal Assistant posts must meet the eligibility requirements prescribed in the notification. These requirements mainly include educational qualifications, age limit, and other conditions determined by DSSSB. Since the qualifications differ for each post, applicants should review the criteria carefully before submitting their application. 

Educational Qualification

  • Assistant Engineer (Civil): Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.  
  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Applicants must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or university. 
  • Assistant Section Officer (ASO): Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university along with basic computer knowledge. 
  • Legal Assistant: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university. 


Age Limit (As on 25/03/2026)  

  • Legal Assistant: Up to 30 years 
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil): Up to 30 or 32 years 
  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Up to 30 or 32 years 
  • Assistant Section Officer: 21 to 30 years

DSSSB AE JE ASO Salary 2026

Candidates selected through the DSSSB Combined Examination 2026 conducted by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board will receive salary according to the pay levels defined under the Government of Delhi pay structure. The post-wise salary details are given below:

  • Assistant Section Officer (ASO) – Pay Level Level-7 – ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
  • Junior Engineer (Civil) – Pay Level Level-6 – ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) – Pay Level Level-10 – ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
  • Legal Assistant – Pay Level Level-7 – ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400


Apart from the basic pay, selected candidates will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other government benefits as per applicable rules.
