The CSIR-CDRI has announced a total of 04 vacancies for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) post under the Non-Technical Group ‘C’ category. Out of these, 02 posts are for Unreserved (UR) candidates, 01 post is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, and 01 post is reserved for Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates. 

CSIR-CDRI MTS Eligibility Criteria 2026 

To apply for the CDRI MTS Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the prescribed educational and age requirements. 

Educational Qualification:

Applicants should have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institute. Candidates holding an ITI certificate in any trade are also eligible to apply. Additionally, those who have completed Intermediate (12th Class) will be given preference as a desirable qualification. 

Age Limits (As on 16/02/2026) 

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 25 years as on 16th February 2026. However, upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules — 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 10–15 years for PwBD candidates depending on their category. Relaxation is also available for Ex-Servicemen and CSIR or Central Government employees as per official norms.

The selection process for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) post will be conducted in three stages: a Trade Test, followed by a Written Examination (CWE), and finally Document Verification of original certificates. The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the Written Examination.

The selected candidates for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) post at CSIR-CDRI will be appointed on a Level-1 pay scale of ₹18,000–₹56,900/-. The approximate monthly salary for this post, including allowances, is ₹35,393/-.
