Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized Board or University as on or before 1st January 2026. Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026):
- The candidate must be between 18 to 23 years of age.
- That means candidates born between 2nd January 2003 and 1st January 2008 are eligible.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC – 3 years

SSC GD Constable Selection Process 2025
The selection for SSC GD Constable 2025-26 is based on a multi-stage recruitment process designed to assess candidates’ academic knowledge, physical fitness, and medical suitability. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and qualify in each stage will be appointed as Constables in various paramilitary forces. The selection includes a Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination, and Document Verification (DV).
Selection Stages:
1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE):
Consists of 80 objective-type questions for 160 marks from subjects like General Intelligence, General Awareness, Mathematics, and English/Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male: 5 km race in 24 minutes (1.6 km in 7 minutes for Ladakh region)
- Female: 1.6 km race in 8½ minutes (800 metres in 5 minutes for Ladakh region)
3. Physical Standard Test (PST):
- Height: 170 cm (Male), 157 cm (Female)
- Chest: 80 cm with 5 cm expansion (for Male)
