OSSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2025
To apply for OSSC CGLRE 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Must have basic computer knowledge such as Internet, Email, Word Processing, Data Analysis, and Presentation skills.
- For Auditor and related posts: Candidates must also hold a PGDCA certificate from a recognized institution.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently.
- Must have passed Odia as a subject in HSC or equivalent examination.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years
- Candidates not eligible for age relaxation must be born between 2nd January 1983 and 1st January 2004.
Age Relaxation:
- SEBC/SC/ST/Women: 5 years
- PwD: 10 years
OSSC CGLRE 2025 Selection Process
The selection process for OSSC CGLRE 2025 consists of four stages:
- Preliminary Examination (150 Marks)
- Main Written Examination (200 Marks)
- Computer Skill Test (if applicable)
- Certificate Verification
Stage I: Preliminary Examination (150 Marks)
- Objective-type questions based on General Studies and Aptitude.
- Conducted through OMR or Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) mode.
- There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
- Candidates 5 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Stage II: Main Written Examination (200 Marks)
- Paper-I: Language (Odia & English)
- Paper-II: General Studies
Additional Tests:
- Mathematics Test for Auditor posts.
- Computer Skill Test for posts like Auditor, Inspector of Supplies, BSSO, Estate Supervisor, Junior Assistant, and Junior Clerk.
- Both Preliminary and Main exams will be conducted in Odia and English, except for Paper-I.
Stage III: Certificate Verification
- Candidates 1.5 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for document verification.
- Candidates must qualify the Computer Skill and Mathematics tests (where applicable) with minimum 50% marks.
- Final selection will be based on performance in the Main Exam and qualifying skill tests.
OSSC CGLRE 2025 Post-wise Salary
- Group-B Posts: Pay Matrix Level-9 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
- Group-C Posts: Pay Matrix Level-4 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)
- Employees will also receive DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Odisha Government norms.
