OICL Administrative Officer (AO) Notification 2025 

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) has released the official OICL Administrative Officer (AO) Notification 2025 on 1st December 2025 for the recruitment of 285 Administrative Officer (Scale-I) Generalist posts across India. As per the notification, the Preliminary Examination (Tier-I) will be conducted on 10th January 2026, followed by the Main Examination (Tier-II) on 28th February 2026. OICL AO Eligibility Criteria 2025 (as on 30.11.2025) 

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must possess a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Must have obtained at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.


Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Candidates must have been born between 1st December 1995 and 30th November 2004 (both dates inclusive).


Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years

OICL AO Generalist Salary 2025

  • Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of ₹50,925/- in the scale of ₹50,925–2,500(14)–85,925–2,710(4)–96,765, along with other admissible allowances.
  • Approximate Gross Salary: ₹85,000/- per month in metro cities.
  • Other benefits include Pension (NPS), Gratuity, LTS, Medical Facilities, Group Personal Accident Insurance, and Housing Allowance/Leased Accommodation.


OICL AO Generalist Selection Process 2025

The OICL AO Generalist selection process will be conducted in three phases: 

1. Preliminary Examination (Tier-I)

  • Objective-type online exam for 100 marks. 
  • Duration: 1 hour. 
  • Candidates qualifying this stage will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.


Sections:

  • English Language – 30 marks
  • Reasoning Ability – 35 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 35 marks 


2. Main Examination (Tier-II)

This exam consists of both Objective and Descriptive tests.

(a) Objective Test (200 marks, 150 minutes):

  • Reasoning – 45 marks
  • English Language – 40 marks
  • General Awareness – 40 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 40 marks
  • Computer Knowledge – 35 marks


(b) Descriptive Test (30 marks, 30 minutes):

  • Essay Writing – 20 marks
  • Precis Writing – 10 marks
  • Note: The Descriptive Test is qualifying in nature.


3. Interview (Tier-III)

  • Candidates shortlisted from the Main Examination will be called for an Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the Main Exam (80%) and Interview (20%) marks.


OICL AO Service Conditions and Probation

  • Probation Period: 1 year (extendable up to 2 years).
  • During probation, candidates must pass the Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India.
  • Selected candidates must serve the company for a minimum period of 4 years, including probation.
