The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC JE Recruitment 2025 Notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineers under Group 'B' Non-Gazetted posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India. A total of 1340 vacancies have been announced for Junior Engineers in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines. SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2025 

Candidates applying for SSC JE 2025 must meet the prescribed educational and age criteria as on 01.01.2026. They should have a Degree or Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Some posts also require 2 years of relevant experience. The age limit is generally 30 years, but for CPWD and a few other departments, it is 32 years. Age relaxation applies to reserved categories as per government rules.

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Selection Process 2025 

The SSC JE 2025 selection involves multiple stages. Candidates first take Paper-I, a Computer-Based Test with objective questions. Those who qualify proceed to Paper-II, another objective Computer-Based Test focusing on technical subjects. Shortlisted candidates then undergo Document Verification and a Medical Examination. Final selection is based on the combined performance in Paper-I and Paper-II.

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Salary 2025

Selected candidates for SSC Junior Engineer (JE) posts will be appointed at Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) under the 7th CPC, with an approximate in-hand salary ranging from ₹44,000 to ₹50,000 per month. They also receive benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), contributions to the National Pension System (NPS), paid leave, and medical facilities.
