OSSSC PEO Vacancy 2025

As per the memorandum issued by the Panchayati Raj Department, a total of 1501 Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) vacancies are to be filled through direct recruitment by OSSSC. OSSSC PEO Eligibility Criteria 2025 

As per the previous OSSSC notification, candidates applying for the Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) post were required to have passed +2 (12th) from a recognized board, but for the 2025 recruitment, the educational qualification may be raised to Graduation from a recognized university. Basic knowledge of computers is also essential. The earlier age limit was between 21 and 38 years, which may now be extended up to 42 years. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms. We will provide clear details once the official detailed notification is released. 

OSSSC PEO Selection Process 2025

The selection process for OSSSC PEO Recruitment 2025 will consist of two stages: a written test and a practical skill test in basic computer applications. The written test will carry 180 marks and be conducted in OMR-based MCQ format. Candidates qualifying in the written exam will appear for the computer skill test, which carries 50 marks and is of qualifying nature. The final merit list will be prepared based solely on written exam marks, and qualified candidates will be called for document verification.

The OSSSC PEO Exam Pattern 2025 includes an objective-type (MCQ) written test conducted in a single paper for a total of 180 marks with a duration of 3 hours. The standard of the exam will be equivalent to the High School Certificate Examination (10th level). There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect or multiple answer.

OSSSC PEO Salary 2025 

Candidates selected for the post of Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) under OSSSC will receive a salary as per Pay Level 5 of the ORSP Rules, 2017. The pay scale ranges from ₹21,700 to ₹63,200, with a basic pay of ₹21,700 per month. After including allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA), the in-hand salary is expected to be approximately ₹26,000 to ₹30,000 per month. In addition to these, selected candidates will also be entitled to other benefits as per Odisha government service rules.
