Railway RRB Technician Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates applying for the Railway RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 must have a BE/B.Tech/B.Sc degree or Engineering Diploma for Technician Grade‑I (Signal), and a 10th pass with ITI or 12th pass (Science PCM) for Technician Grade‑III. The minimum age is 18 years (as of 01 July 2025), with a maximum age of 33 years for Grade‑I and 30 years for Grade‑III. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per government rules.

• BE / B.Tech / B.Sc degree or Diploma in Engineering 

Technician Grade‑III:

• 10th pass with ITI certificate in relevant trade OR

• 12th pass in Science (PCM)

Railway RRB Technician Selection Process 2025 

The Railway RRB Technician Selection Process 2025 consists of three main stages. First, all eligible candidates must appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Based on their CBT scores, candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage, which is Document Verification. Finally, those who successfully verify their documents will undergo a Medical Test to ensure they meet the required health standards. The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the CBT and successful completion of both the document verification and medical test.

Railway Technician Exam Pattern 2025 

The Railway Technician 2025 exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of objective-type questions. The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes, during which candidates must answer 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The exam will cover four key sections: Mathematics, General Intelligence, General Awareness, and General Science. It is important to note that there will be negative marking, with 1/3rd of a mark deducted for every incorrect answer.

• Total Duration: 90 minutes

Railway RRB Technician Salary 2025 

Selected candidates for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 will receive pay as per 7th Pay Commission guidelines. Technician Grade‑1 (Signal) will be placed at Pay Level‑5 with a basic pay of ₹29,200/- per month, while Technician Grade‑III will come under Pay Level‑2 with a basic pay of ₹19,900/- per month. In addition, employees will also receive DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per government rules.
