- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have graduated in any discipline from a recognized university or possess any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience (as on 30.04.2025) is required as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB).

The initial salary for SBI Circle Based Officers (CBO) in 2025 will be in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I), starting at Rs. 48,480 with further increments as per the pay scale of Rs. 48,480–2000/7–62,480–2340/2–67,160–2680/7–85,920.
