CSIR IMMT Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2026 

Candidates applying for CSIR IMMT Recruitment 2026 must meet the prescribed eligibility conditions set by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Educational Qualifications:

For Project Associate-I, candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical, Metallurgical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Mineral Engineering, or an M.Sc. in Chemistry / Geology / Applied Geology from a recognized university. 

For Project Associate-II, an M.Sc. in Geology or a B.E./B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with two years of R&D experience is required. 

For the Senior Project Associate, candidates must possess an M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Chemistry or a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering with relevant research experience in spectroscopic data analysis, material synthesis, or biological assays. 

Preference will be given to candidates having project-based experience in mineral processing, hydrometallurgical extraction, nanomaterial synthesis, beneficiation, electrochemistry, automation systems, and air-quality monitoring. 

Age Limit

The upper age limits for different posts are as follows:

• Project Associate-I / II: 35 years

• Senior Project Associate: 40 years

Age Relaxation:

• 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates 

• 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

• Project Associate-I: ₹25,000 – ₹31,000 + 20% HRA 

• Project Associate-II: ₹28,000 + 20% HRA 

• Senior Project Associate: ₹42,000 + 20% HRA
