OISF Constable Vacancy 2025

As per the latest updates, the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) Constable Recruitment 2025 is expected to announce 6000 vacancies for both male and female candidates across different categories. The expected category-wise vacancy distribution is as follows:

OISF Constable Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates applying for OISF Constable Recruitment 2025 must have passed 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board and be able to read, write, and speak Odia. They must have studied Odia as a subject in Class 10th or an equivalent examination recognized by the Odisha government. The age limit is 18 to 23 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, and women in all categories, and as per norms for Ex-Servicemen.

OISF Constable Selection Process 2025

The selection process for OISF Constable Recruitment 2025 will follow the updated rules released by Odisha Police. It includes a written examination, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to assess the candidate’s knowledge and physical fitness. OISF Constable Exam Pattern 2025

The written exam for OISF Constable Recruitment 2025 will be objective-type and conducted through OMR/OCR sheets, computer-based, or other modern methods. It will include 100 MCQs of 1 mark each, with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. Questions will cover Odia, English, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Basic Computer Skills, and Situational Awareness, with difficulty up to 10th standard level. The exam will be in Odia and English, except for the Odia section.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT) - Height & Chest Requirements

Candidates must meet the following physical standards

For Male Candidates (General, SEBC):

  • Height - 168 cm 
  • Chest - 79 cm unexpanded, 84 cm expanded
  • Weight - 55 kg 

For Male Candidates (SC, ST):

  • Height - 163 cm 
  • Chest - 76 cm unexpanded, 81 cm expanded 
  • Weight - 50 kg 


For Female Candidates (General, SEBC):

  • Height - 158 cm 
  • Weight - 47.5 kg 
  • Chest - Not required 

For Female Candidates (SC, ST):

  • Height - 153 cm 
  • Weight - 45 kg 
  • Chest - Not required 


Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Running & Jumping Requirements

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is a qualifying round, and only candidates who pass the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will be eligible to participate. The PET will include various events to assess the physical endurance and strength of candidates. Candidates who do not meet the qualifying standards in any of the events will be disqualified.

Running (1.6 Kilometers) for Male Candidates

  • Qualifying Time: 6.00 minutes
  • Candidates who cover the distance within 6.00 minutes will be declared qualified.
  • Candidates running beyond 6.00 minutes will be disqualified


Running (1.6 Kilometers) for Female Candidates

  • Qualifying Time: 8.30 minutes
  • Candidates who cover the distance within 8.30 minutes will be declared qualified.
  • Candidates running beyond 8.30 minutes will be disqualified


Broad Jump (For Male Candidates)

  • Qualifying Distance: 4.00 meters
  • Candidates who clear 4.00 meters in three attempts will be qualified.
  • Candidates who fail to clear 4.00 meters in three attempts will be disqualified


Broad Jump (For Female Candidates)

  • Qualifying Distance: 2.75 meters
  • Candidates who clear 2.75 meters in three attempts will be qualified.
  • Candidates who fail to clear 2.75 meters in three attempts will be disqualified


High Jump (For Male Candidates Only)

  • Qualifying Height: 1.38 meters 
  • Candidates who clear 1.38 meters in three attempts will be qualified.
  • Candidates who fail to clear 1.38 meters in three attempts will be disqualified.


OISF Constable Salary 2025

  • Candidates selected for the OISF Constable Recruitment 2025 will receive a salary as per the Level 5 pay scale of ORSP Rules, 2017. The basic pay ranges from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100, along with additional benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Facilities, and other allowances as per government norms.
